This Wheatear was present at Maxey GP on the morning of the 19th and (as far as I am aware) is the first bird seen at this site on Autumn migration.

Gone are the days I used to get a dozen at a time in the garden here on Farcet Fen. This juvvy is the first of year for me here.

Green Woodpeckers are regular in the summer feasting on the many ant colonies we have around the fen including several in the garden.
