Lesser Black-backed Gull @ Maxey Pits

(c) Josh Jones

A most attractive individual; this intermedius-type bird is quite sleek and long-winged.

Garganey at Baston & Langtoft Pits

(c) Josh Jones

This fine bird turned up on 7th August, favouring the same pit as a bird which took up residence in September 2007 for several days. With water levels low and suited to dabbling ducks, perhaps more records will follow.

Knot, Maxey GP

Found along Woodgate Lane.
